WE WERE HERE BUT IT DOESN’T PROVE ANYTHING
May 1, 2026 - May 3, 2026
The exhibition unfolds through conditions rather than discrete works.
Alexandre Diop’s paintings emerge from processes of accumulation, where gesture and material sediment into images that resist resolution. What appears is already inhabited—layered, held in suspension.
Alessio Cannizzo’s metal surfaces remain open. Reflective and unstable, they receive and register marks over time. Writing, contact, and residue accumulate without hierarchy, producing a dispersed field of authorship.
“The work becomes a kind of place where something might happen, rather than something that is finished.” — Vito Acconci
Between embedded memory and active inscription, the exhibition constructs a space in which presence is continuously produced, yet never fully secured.
